wow it has been almost a whole year since i have posted. what can i say, i am busy chasing around a little toddler. yup, kyan is now a toddler. how fast the time flys. i thought i would post some things that kyan has been doing as is doing now that he is almost 14 months old (on saturday it will be exact)
at 2 weeks old, kyan rolled from his tummy to his back. it was only once, but he did it.
at 2 months old, i think he mastered rolling over
at 4 months old, kyan was crawling
at 5 months old, he was pulling himself up to standing
at 6 months he was standing almost all by himself
at 10 months, kyan could have been walking, but i wasn't ready so we put him in a walker
he ran in that walker.
finally we decided that he really should learn how to walk so we put the walker away
at 1 year, kyan decided he just wanted to walk all by himself and has been running since.
he is crying right now, so i need to pause and go get him, and then put him back to bed.

i'm back... not that you really noticed i was gone. oh well.
let's see where was i.
now that kyan is running around, he usually has some kind of bump or bruise on his head. he may or may not have a scar on his left side forhead from whacking the piano.
kyan loves to talk
he says; daddy, mommy, hi, dat (that), dis (this), dar (there), i dun no (i don't know), aah, hat, whos dat (who's that), whos dis (who's this), bye, yeah, shoos (shoes), jeesus (Jesus), cheese, up, duck moo, woof, and he makes a sort of quacking sound, head, brush
kyan knows where his head, toes, nose, mommy's nose, daddy's nose, hair, ears, hands, and teeth are
he loves his snuggle bunny stuffed animal
he loves soft blankets and curls up on them then sighs (it's so cute!)
kyan loves to brush his hair, and his teeth (sometimes with the same brush)
he loves to read books. right now his favorites are; my dad, hop on pop, dr seuss abc, the ear book, there's a wocket in my pocket, goodnight little one, the foot book, mr brown can moo can you, my tiny book of prayer, my tiny book of family
well to put it short; kyan loves books
kyan loves to eat, but he is a social eater and doesn't like to eat if it is just him and me and i'm not eating.
he loves chocolate and basically anything grandpa is eating and willing to share
kyan is starting to give kisses, but it is on his terms. if he doesn't want to kiss you, he will turn his cheek so you can kiss him.
he loves to snuggle, but again it is on his terms
he loves to talk on the phone and anything is a phone or bluetooth and i mean anything
when zach gets home from work and kyan is still awake, kyan runs to his daddy and gives him a big hug and says daddy
kyan loves to pretend he is talking on the phone to his daddy while zach is at work
he likes to play in the laundry baskets and helps "sort" the laundry
he likes to play peek-a-boo and is learning hide-n-seek
kyan loves to play the piano and sing
when we are in church, kyan knows after a song that a prayer usually follows, so he folds his arms
he also knows when we sit down to eat we have a prayer so he folds his arms
kyan loves to say hi to everybody but keep your distance and don't try to take him away from people he knows or he will start to let out a panic cry
well it is getting late and i need to sleep when i can and zach is home from work now so i will go. i will try and post again soon, but i make no promises. sorry i am so bad at this. it's called being a mom and time becomes not mine. i still love being a mom and have such a wonderful, happy kyan boy.
